The Little Learning Warriors go on regular themed trips to the local Carnegie Libraries; this was Morrow Elementary’s first Library Celebration back in October, which took place at the Woods Run library.  The celebration was for Halloween and had the theme of recycling.

Henry, a staff member at the Woods Run library, joined the Reading Warriors as they lead the children through books about recycling: what it is, how to do it, and why it’s important.  After their reading time, the students, along with other children in the community who gathered there, were encouraged to make an accessory for themselves for their Halloween costumes.

The Warriors enjoyed getting to play with bits of leftover fabric, ribbons, foam, and and other recycled goods to create something new of their own!
