Our Summer Credit Recovery program kicked off last week, allowing an opportunity for high school students from the Pittsburgh Public School District to recover failed credits throughout their months of their summer vacation.  The program is at no cost, and knowledgeable tutors are available at each credit recovery site.

Estella, one of our tutors from Carnegie Mellon University and tutoring at the Bloomfield-Garfield Corporation’s Activity Center, reported that the experience over the first week has “been good so far, and it’s getting better each day.  Everyone’s working hard.”

There are four locations currently offered for credit recovery: BGC Activity Center in the East End, Carlow University in Oakland, Emanuel United Methodist Church in the West End, and Project Destiny in the North Side.
